Three months after his death, George Michael has been laid to rest at a funeral with his family and friends in London.

The ceremony took place at Highgate Cemetery in North London, and was attended by George's partner Fadi Fawaz, friend Kate Moss and Spandau Ballet star Martin Kemp.

It has been reported that there was no hearse, as the George's body was to be transported inside a private ambulance. He will be laid down beside his late mother.

The 53-year-old 'Father Figure' singer was found dead at his home in Oxfordshire, England on Christmas Day, and it was later determined he had died of natural causes.

A number of tributes have been emerged for the singer since his death, including a recent artwork by Damien Hirst, which sold for over £400,000 at a charity auction, raising funds for HIV and AIDS prevention and awareness.

George's former partner Kenny Goss posted a photo of the artwork on Instagram, thanking Damien Hirst for his work in creating 'Beautiful Beautiful George Michael Love Painting'.
