Progressive rock legends Genesis have rescheduled The Last Domino? Tour for a second time.

Phil Collins, Mike Rutherford and Tony Banks were originally due to embark on the extensive UK & Ireland arena trek throughout November and December 2020, however it was pushed back to April 2021 due to the coronavirus pandemic.

Because of the ongoing situation with Covid-19, the tour has now been rescheduled to begin at Dublin 3Arena on Wednesday 15th September and conclude at London’s The O2 exactly four weeks later on Wednesday 13th October.

Genesis’ representatives said in a statement: “The decision to move the tour again is due to the global pandemic, and even with the roll out of the vaccine, there are still a huge amount of uncertainties and unanswered questions that make a tour in April difficult for everyone.

“It is appreciated, that for whatever reason, those planning on attending the shows may not feel comfortable doing so, so by moving the tour we can alleviate some of those concerns and in turn that will allow the band and the crew to prepare with less unpredictability and create a show that both the band and fans alike will treasure and enjoy.

“Existing tickets for the rescheduled dates will remain valid, and ticket holders will be contacted by their ticket agent.”

Tony, Phil and Mike add: “Well let’s just forget about that last year and focus on 2021 shall we! We can't wait to finally get this show on the road, but we feel the decision to move the tour is the best one for those planning on attending and for us as a band and crew. We hope now we can all relax a little more and focus on the music and having a good night.”

When The Last Domino? Tour eventually takes place, the core Genesis trio of Tony Banks (keyboards), Mike Rutherford (bass/guitar) and Phil Collins (vocals) will be joined by Collins’ teenage son Nic on drums, and long-standing guitarist Daryl Stuermer at the shows.

Genesis’ last live concert took place at The Hollywood Bowl in California on 13th October 2007 as part of their global trek entitled Turn It On Again: The Tour. Their last UK shows were at Twickenham Stadium, Old Trafford Football Stadium and Live Earth London in July of that year.
