During a show on their global tour, 'My Hero' legends Foo Fighters invited 'superfan' Michael Bublé on stage for a rendition of the Canadian crooner’s signature song ‘Haven't Met You Yet’. Delighting fans, the unlikely collab took place during a show at a US festival on Saturday night (11th August).

Dave Grohl, Nate Mendel, Pat Smear, Chris Shiflett, Rami Jaffee and Josh Freese were midway through their headline set at Outside Lands at Golden Gate Park in San Francisco when Dave spotted a man in the crowd holding an ‘I love Bublé’ sign, calling out that the fan "better know the song!"

At certain dates on Foo Fighters’ current global tour, the band have been playing a snippet of Bublé’s 2009 song ‘Haven't Met You Yet’ as part of the covers medley in their set.

As the video below shows, the fan in the audience holding the sign was in fact Michael Bublé himself, and he joined the legendary band on stage to belt out the swing track.

Dave Grohl quipped: "We’ve been doing that thing where people from the audience come up and say ‘I know that f------ song,’ and they walk up and they know the first verse, they don’t know it.

"So this badass mother------, and I’m not even kidding, flew in today from Argentina to f------ sing that song to you guys. Because there’s no such thing as taking a joke too far."

WARNING: EXPLICIT LANGUAGE THROUGHOUT 🚨

Upon both the band and Michael Bublé himself sharing a video of the wonderful moment on Instagram, many were quick to comment, with one fan gushing: 'Mad respect for the Foo Fighters uniting music!' and another adding: 'This restores my faith in humanity.'

This isn't the first time the artists have crossed over, with new Foo Fighters drummer Josh Freese having previously worked with Michael Bublé, performing on his 2009 album ‘Crazy Love’ and 2011’s ‘Christmas’ as a session musician.

Last month, Foo Fighters also invited Alanis Morissette on stage with them at the Fuji Rock Festival in Japan, to duet on a cover of ‘Mandinka’ in tribute to the late Sinead O’Connor, who sadly passed away in July 2023.
