Boyzone have just dropped the new music video for the new single from their final album, 'Thank You & Goodnight', and it includes a cameo appearance from a very famous popstar. The music video starts with Ronan Keating, Shane Lynch, Keith Duffy and Mikey Graham performing in striking white suits, before cutting to the group singing along to their own song - karaoke-style. The video then cuts to 'members of the public' singing along, including one very special person - Ed Sheeran!

Whilst it might seem like an unusual choice to have Ed popping up in the middle of their music video, the pop star actually co-wrote Boyzone's new song, 'Because', along with Ronan and songwriters John Shanks and Amy Wadge.

Earlier this year Magic Breakfast host Ronan Keating confirmed that this year Boyzone would be releasing their final album, and going on their final tour. Ronan revealed that the news was broken, before the band had wanted it to, by someone who had been told in confidence. He went onto explain to Magic listeners and his co-host Harriet, that they were left "high and dry", saying they spent a lot of time discussing it and working out what to say.

'Because' is the first single from Boyzone's final album, 'Thank You & Goodnight', which features songs co-written by Sam Smith, Gary Barlow and of course Ed Sheeran. Watch the music video featuring Ed Sheeran below.

As a group Boyzone formed in 1993, and shot to fame with their single 'Love Me For A Reason' back in 1994. Keith Duffy, Stephen Gately, Mikey Graham, Ronan Keating, and Shane Lynch then went on to have a number of top 10 hits in the UK as well as several Number 1 albums.

Sadly back in 2009 Stephen Gately passed away at the age of 33 from an undiagnosed heart condition, at his home in Majorca. In 2016 Ronan Keating paid tribute to his former group mate on Instagram saying, 'Hey Steo. "A true hero isn't measured by the size of his strength, but by the strength of his heart." -- Zeus (Disney's Hercules) #ShootingStar. Miss ya Bro'.

Along with the 'Thank You & Goodnight' album, which will be released on Friday 16th November 2018, the group are also going on tour next year. Their 'Thank You & Goodnight' tour will see them performing at venues across the UK and Ireland.
