Boy George admits he was too shy to speak to Prince and John Travolta
He missed out on meeting the two legends!
Boy George had the chance to meet legends Prince and John Travolta, but was too shy to speak to them.
Despite duetting with Diana Ross, Cyndi Lauper and Dolly Parton, and meeting his idol David Bowie, the Culture Club singer admitted he got weak at the knees in front of Grease star Travolta and music icon Prince.
“I once rode in an elevator in Boston with John Travolta but I couldn’t speak to him. I was too embarrassed!" he said.
"He was staring at me and I was staring at him and I thought, ‘I wonder if he knows who I am?’” he confessed to Us Weekly, as part of its 25 Things You Didn’t Know About Me article.
“I once sat with Prince for 15 minutes at a Versace fashion show, and he didn’t say a word! I never met him again.”
Mind you, we'd be pretty starstruck too if we'd had that chance! We didn't expect it from Boy George, though...
Later in his chat with Us Weekly, the pop star also confessed he owns a whopping 200 hats, has a weakness for bread and, after flying around so much for his job, he now has "a fear of not flying".
