Billy Joel to play only European show of 2023 at BST Hyde Park
He headlines the London festival next summer
Music legend Billy Joel will play his only European show of 2023 at American Express presents BST Hyde Park.
One of the most popular recording artists and respected entertainers in history, the Piano Man will perform in London on Friday 7th July 2023.
Billy Joel’s joins Bruce Springsteen as one of the 10th anniversary headliners of BST Hyde Park, and it will be his first UK performance in over four years.
Tickets to Billy Joel at BST Hyde Park go on sale from Magic Radio Tickets at 10am on Thursday 6th October 2022.
This BST Hyde Park announcement comes shortly before the release of one of the most recognised concert films of all time, Live At Yankee Stadium, coming to cinemas for a special two-night global fan event via Trafalgar Releasing on Wednesday 5th & Sunday 9th October.
2022’s BST Hyde Park featured performances from The Rolling Stones, Elton John, Adele Eagles, Pearl Jam and Duran Duran.
Other eclectic headliners across the event’s decade-long history include Carole King, Stevie Wonder, Barbra Streisand, Taylor Swift, Robbie Williams, Black Sabbath, Take That, Kylie Minogue, The Who, Blur, Kendrick Lamar and The Strokes.
Each headliner is joined by a full supporting line-up across multiple stages, from major superstars to handpicked developing acts performing for fans from across the UK and the world.

Joe Elliott’s childhood home
Def Leppard frontman Joe Elliott was born and raised at 61 Crookes Road in Sheffield. Ahead of Def Leppard's homecoming gigs at The Leadmill and Bramall Lane in May 2023, Joe visited the property. He wrote: "The house I was born in, grew up in, met Sav & Tony Kenning for the very time in that upstairs room you can see above me …. Sigh …. Memories!!"

John Lennon’s childhood home
Now a lovingly restored Grade II listed building preserved by the National Trust, John Lennon lived at 251 Menlove Avenue in Liverpool with his Aunt Mimi from 1945 to 1963. It featured on the cover to Oasis single 'Live Forever' in 1994 and in 2000 it was adorned with an English Heritage blue plaque.
