Bryan Cranston plays James Franco's overprotective father-in-law in new comedy film 'Why Him?'.
Firstly, we were curious whether Bryan would be able to easily relate to his role in this movie, having a 23-year-old daughter himself. The actor admitted to finding it "very comfortable", stepping into his character Ned's shoes.
Ned, he explained, was a father afraid of losing his daughter's affections and becoming "outdated and unimportant".
On his character Laird, James Franco describes him as having "great curiosity". He also admires Laird for being so "truly in love", admitting that he finds his passion "endearing".
