Talented Tom Baker from Plymton in Devon has launched a series of live-streamed "garden gigs" to help raise money for much needed charities during lockdown. As well as entertaining his street, Tom's gorgeous vocals have seen thousands of people tune in from all around the world.
Normally playing several gigs per week, Tom and a range of musical friends have taken to digital gigs and encouraging fans to donate to fundraisers for a whole host of charities. Tom's first garden gig saw him raise over £1000 for Mental Health UK, encouraging viewers to send through their song requests.

Speaking after the first performance, Tom said: "I've had so many phone calls and messages in the last hour that have made me incredibly overwhelmed and overjoyed with the outcome of today.
With the success of today, I really want to continue doing my Live Request Show for you all to enjoy... Thank you all so much, I seriously can’t thank you all enough for not only helping me for my mental health today, but raising money for a great cause and spreading so much joy across the world in one afternoon."
Tom later raised a further £1300 for NHS staff at Plymouth Hospital and has vowed to do more garden gigs to brighten up people's days as we all comply with social distancing rules.
