Woman hosts social distancing exercise class for her street
Bringing the community together!

A woman from the Frodsham in the North West has gone viral after hosting daily exercise classes for her whole street. 54 year old fitness instructor Janet came up with the idea when many of her elderly neighbours were told to self isolate. Wanting to bring the community together and give people something to look forward to, Janet used her skills and got everyone moving from their doorsteps.
Janet initially popped notes through people's doors with her phone number in case they needed food shopping or just a chat but it was a suggestion about a gentle exercise class that really took off.
When Janet's daughter Elsa filmed her mum's routine and uploaded it to Twitter, it went viral with thousands of people around the world watching.
"Really look forward to the exercise class now. Think we've all started to care a lot less about looking daft and more about the things we can actually do!" wrote Elsa, which is pretty inspiring in itself.
Janet recently went full time teaching yoga to help improve people's mental health.
Speaking about her "social distancing dancing" going viral, Janet said: "I honestly thought it would just be a few of us but more and more people kept coming out and the response has been amazing, it's just escalated!"
Local residents have said Janet's classes are the "highlight" of their day and we can see why!
