Ronan Keating reveals what he will be called instead of 'grandad'

Magic Breakfast presenter Ronan Keating became a grandfather for the first time earlier this month, when his eldest son Jack announced the arrival of a beautiful baby girl, but it sounds like he's not keen on the title 'grandad'.
Speaking on The One Show earlier this week, Ronan, who presents Magic Breakfast alongside Harriett Scott every weekday morning, told co-host Jermain Jenas what he'd like to be called by his granddaughter when she's old enough to talk.
After Jermaine referred to Ronan as 'grandad', the Boyzone singer said: "Yes I am, my son had a gorgeous baby."
But when Jermaine revealed Ronan won't be called grandad, Ronan said: "Uh, pops, we'll go with that, perfect."
Ronan's eldest son Jack, who appeared on the 2022 series of reality show Love Island during Casa Amor week, shocked fans last week by announcing he'd become a dad for the first time.
Sharing a black and white photo of himself cradling his newborn daughter, 24-year-old Jack wrote on Instagram: 'Welcome to the world my little 👸'.
Ronan shares his son Jack with his ex-wife Yvonne Connolly.
Since the arrival of his baby girl, Jack has opened up to the press to confirm he's no longer in a relationship with his daughter's mother, but they do plan to co-parent together.
