Prince Louis's birth certificate has been released and it has one major difference to his siblings'

Last week The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge welcomed their third child, Prince Louis, into the world and a week later they registered his birth. Now, his birth certificate has been released and it has one major difference to his siblings' certificates, other than the obvious.

In the photo released to press, the young Prince's birth certificate can been seen in full, with his and The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge's names written out in full. The birth certificate also lists the Duke and Duchess's occupations as 'Prince' and 'Princess of the United Kingdom'.

Other than that, it might look very similar to both Prince George and Princess Charlotte's birth certificates, with one difference. Prince Louis's birth certificate is typed, rather than handwritten.

Although it hasn't been confirmed, it is thought the newborn's birth certificate might be typed because the previous registrar had received death threats for her 'messy handwriting'.

Speaking to the Daily Mail the previous deputy registrar for Westminster, Alison Cathcart, who wrote out Prince George's certificate, said she received death threats. She told the publication, "I got death threats. One person said their cat had better handwriting, someone called for me to be fired and someone even said I was illiterate."

Despite these comments Alison did handwrite Princess Charlotte's birth certificate a couple of years later, however this time Prince Louis's birth certificate has been filled out by new Westminster registrar, Patricia Gordon.

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge welcomed their third child on the 23rd April and a few days later they revealed his name to be Louis Arthur Charles, His Royal Highness Prince Louis of Cambridge.

In other Royal news today (2nd May) is Princess Charlotte's third birthday. When her younger brother was born Princess Charlotte made history by becoming the first female Royal not to lose her place in line to the throne.

Since the Succession to the Crown Act in 2013 came in, it meant that male members of the Royal family do not 'overtake' any older female members who are in line to the throne. Princess Charlotte is currently fourth in line to the throne, however before changes to the Act, it would have meant that the new little boy would have 'overtaken' her.

Prince Louis is now fifth in line to the throne behind, his older brother and sister, his dad the Duke of Cambridge and his grandfather Prince Charles.
