Gino D'Acampo offered Gordon Ramsay presenting tips for his new show!
The Hell's Kitchen chef will front the new game show Bank Balance.
Gordon Ramsay is swapping his chef's whites for a suit as he takes on the world of game show TV. The infamously sweary chef is the host of new game show Bank Balance which is coming to the BBC.
Whilst he joined Tom Price and Kat Shoob on Magic Breakfast to talk about his new show he spilled the beans that he was offered some friendly coaching from his friend and fellow foodie Gino D'ACampo.
Whilst gushing about the show's glamorous set he said:
"I got a text literally before I walked up the stairs. 'Cause when you see the set, it's set in this beautiful vault. It's like this glittering, shimmering, sort of space odyssey and gorgeous. I got a text from Gino D'Acampo saying, 'Let me know if you wanna FaceTime me lunchtime. I've got some tips on how to present properly'"
The pair famously banter about their TV chef rivalry on their Gordon, Gino and Fred series of programmes.
Kat said: "I love that rivalry's still there even over WhatsApp."
To which Ramsay responded: "Yeah. Well, I sorta had to point out that, you know, if he was to present Bank Balance, uh, replacing me, that three bars in you'd never find him because they're sort of quite big bullion stacked bars, and so, um, would he like platform on his shoes just to get past the four stack."
Jokes aside, the trio are legitimately great pals in real life and Gordon confessed they talk everyday.
He said: "I mean we talk every day, but, uh, Fred's the sort of romantic Frenchman that's in love with Gino and myself. And, uh, Gino is this incredible Italian that was sort of, you know, born with no height."
Bank Balance will be on BBC iPlayer at 9pm on 24th February.
