Geri Horner talks about her close friendship with the late George Michael

Her tribute single 'Angels in Chains' is out now!

Geri Horner (née Halliwell) had a very close relationship with the late George Michael. He supported her through her post-Spice Girls feelings of loneliness, and put her up when she had nowhere else to live.

So when the 'Father Figure' singer sadly passed away on Christmas Day last year, Geri admitted that she didn't know how to deal with her feelings.

Since then, she has been in the studio recording a beautiful tribute single to her old friend. The track, titled Angels in Chains, is Geri's first official single in 12 years, and is a personal declaration of love and appreciation for her friend.

The track was produced by George's long-time producer Chris Porter, and features musicians that the late singer worked with regularly.

"I feel very blessed to have the opportunity to work on this record with Chris Porter and the same team George had hand picked for his own projects," said the former Spice Girl.

Geri came to talk to Nick on Magic in the Morning, and told him about the amazing support that George gave her as a friend.
