Harry Potter star Daniel Radcliffe has welcomed his first child with his girlfriend, American actress Erin Darke. Last month, it had been reported that Daniel, 33, and 38-year-old Erin were expecting their first baby together.

A representative of Daniel has been reported to have confirmed the news. The couple have been spotted out in New York City together, as Daniel can be seen to push a pram whilst Erin walked closely behind.

The pair met whilst working together on the film Kill Your Darlings in 2012 and have been in a relationship for a decade. In March, a source close to the couple told The Mirror: "Daniel and Erin could not be happier to be expecting.

"They are absolutely thrilled, and can't wait to become a family of three. They told their family and friends recently. It's an incredibly exciting time."

Take a look at some of the other stars who have welcomed babies this year:

Harry Potter fans can look forward to the news that a TV series based on all seven books is set to be released. According to The Times, casting for the series is said to be taking place in the next nine months, with a handful of actors to be chosen through open calls.

Each season of the live-action series will be an adaptation of each of J.K. Rowling's much-loved books, meaning fans will have plenty of episodes to look forward to. However, it will be a while until the show hits our screens, as the Harry Potter TV series is expected to arrive in 2025 or 2026.
