Inspiring words from Amber Riley and Tim Minchin at the Olivier Awards
The theme of this year's show was #BeInspired.
Be Inspired at the Olivier Awards.
The incredible Olivier Awards took place at the Royal Albert Hall last night, to celebrate the very best of UK theatre. The theme to this year's incredible honours show was the catchphrase #BeInspired, so four of the award show's most talented winners gave us their most inspiring words.
"You can be whatever you want to be. It's a feeling that's indescribable", says Best Actress in a Musical Amber Riley.
"The trick is to dream of doing a really cracking job at your next thing. How do I EARN my right to be doing this?" advised Tim Minchin.
"I believe that theatre can transport an audience anywhere. It's unbelievable, and we need it now more than ever," said John Tiffany.
Special Recognition Award winner Kenneth Branagh concluded: "Tonight's event was a lot about the imagination, and how possible it is to be inspired and to live out your own dreams."
Congratulations to Amber Riley on winning Best Actress in a Musical (Dreamgirls), John Tiffany for Best Director (Harry Potter and the Cursed Child), Tim Minchin for Mastercard Best Musical (Groundhog Day) and Kenneth Branagh for his Special Recognition Award!
