The Timeline: Terms and Conditions

TERMS AND CONDITIONS for “The Timeline on the 4 'til 7 Show” (the “Competition”).

These terms should be read with our general competition terms at: http://www.bauerlegal.co.uk/radio-competition-terms.html which also apply to this Competition.

1. COMPETITION MECHANIC AND HOW TO WIN

The on-air prize winners will be those persons who successfully play ‘The Timeline’ and put three events in chronological order when prompted to on air. One contestant will be chosen daily at random from those who successfully call in when prompted by the host of the 4 'til 7 Show on Magic Radio.

If more than one entrant calls, the producer will select the contestant at random from those who have called in to play.

The contestant will be given three events from a pre-selected category, they will then have 10 seconds to put them in the correct chronological order – the oldest event first, the newest last. Only by getting all three events in the correct order will the Contestant become a Winner. There will be an opportunity to win every weekday from 23rd September until Friday 20th December 2024. The studio phone number will be given on air and can also be found below.

2.ENTRY PLATFORMS AND COSTS

(A) Call into the show when prompted by the hosts of the 4 'til 7 show on Magic Radio – by calling 03 444 777 888

(B) Calls are charged at the standard network rate.

(C) If your call is not made to the valid number, it will not be entered into the draw.

(D) Entrants must enter during the Entry Periods of the competition. Any entries received outside of the Entry Periods will not be entered but may still be charged. Bauer Radio Limited is not responsible for any latency experience or technical fault by your mobile phone network, which may delay or prevent the delivery of your text message to us.

3. DATES

Start Date and End Date. There will be 1 x competition round, every weekday from 23/09/2024 (start date) to 20/12/2024 (end date) in Magic’s 4 'til 7 Show with Tom Price and Kat Shoob between 16:00 – 19:00 each time.

Please note Magic Radio reserves the right to remove the competition for an event such as a public holiday.

Winner Announcement. The name and the hometown of the winner(s) will be announced on on-air after each competition round.

4. ENTRY RESTRICTIONS

• Open to UK residents. If under 18 years of age, prize will be sent to a parent or legal guardian aged 18 years or over. Proof of age may be required.

• Our employees (and their family members) or employees of any company involved in the Competition, incl. the Prize Provider, must not enter.

• Anyone who has won a Bauer competition to the value of £500 or more within the past 6 months on any Bauer Radio Brand, they or anyone living at the winning address will not be eligible to win this competition. If by any chance they get through to the phone lines – any prize they have been successful with will not be awarded.

• We reserve the right to disqualify any entrant or winner who does not comply with any of the eligibility criteria and/or is in breach of these Terms. We reserve the right to repeat the competition mechanic or any stage of it in order to draw a winner that fulfils all of the eligibility criteria and is in compliance with these Terms.

5. THE PRIZE

On-air Prizes There will be prize winners whenever the competition is played and won on air weekdays 16:00 – 19:00 starting Monday 23rd September

Prize: 1x ‘Smart Speaker’

• Prizes are non-transferable, non-refundable and no cash alternative will be offered.

• Prize is subject to availability

• The prize excludes anything not expressly listed above

• Once confirmed, any changes including but not limited to name changes, date changes and route changes will be at the prize winner’s expense.

Bauer Media will aim to get prizes to winners within 28 working days from the date suitable ID and proof of address is provided to Bauer Media. However, there may be a delay due to potential unforeseen circumstances and therefore deliveries may take longer. Bauer Media is not responsible for any aspect of the Prize, including unsatisfactory or late delivery.

OTHER CONDITIONS

1. DATA PROTECTION. Names, email addresses, and /or telephone numbers (which, for allSMS competitions, will be shared with our SMS provider,) will be collected and used toprocess entries. Winner’s details may be given to the prize provider to arrange delivery of theprize. Your details may remain stored after the End Date but will not be used for marketing unless you have ticked an opt-in box on entry or text STOP if entering via SMS. If you have,

your details will be used in accordance with the information given when you ticked the opt-in box and gave your consent. For more details, see: http://www.bauerdatapromise.co.uk/.

2. INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY AND CONSENTS. By entering this Competition, you are consenting to our use of your entry both to publicise this Competition, our radio station or any other radio station which we own or control. This means that we may use all names, images, descriptions, photographs video footage, and other information, which you’ve submitted on entry, in any media, without paying you and without any time restriction. You also agree that we may film, record or photograph you in connection with the competition and /or the Prize (if you win!).

We will own these films, recordings or photographs and we may use them publicly, including on the internet, for our radio broadcasts and/or for any promotional purposes. You will also have waived any moral rights or right to payment that you may have had.

3. MISCELLANEOUS.

a) Entries that don’t comply with these terms won’t be accepted and you may be disqualified if we think you’ve breached them.

b) One entry per person.

c) If there is a dispute about the operation of the Competition or correctness of any answers given, our decision is final and no discussion will be entered into on this subject.

d) The correct answers to questions must exactly match our answers to win.

e) We are not responsible if you fail to get through when you call / text to enter, or if you lose signal during a call.

f) You are responsible for all costs of entry.

g) You may be disqualified if you are incomprehensible, inaudible or if you appear to be driving, intoxicated or likely to offend listeners.

h) Whilst on-air, you must not make inappropriate or offensive statements.

i) As far as it is lawful to do so we exclude our liability for any losses suffered in connection with the Competition.

We may end / suspend the Competition if we need to do so due to circumstances outside our control.
