Three teenagers charged after 14-year-old stabbed in Manchester

Three teenage boys have been charged with murder following the death of 14-year-old Ibrahima Seck in New Moston, Manchester.
Greater Manchester Police confirmed that two 14-year-old boys and a 16-year-old boy have been charged with murder and possession of a bladed article. Due to their age, they cannot be named for legal reasons.
All three have been remanded in custody and are scheduled to appear at Manchester Magistrates’ Court on 11th June 2025.
Two other individuals – a 37-year-old woman and a 14-year-old girl – were arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender. They have been released on bail pending further enquiries.
Detective Chief Inspector Tony Platten, of GMP’s Major Incident Team, said: “The last 48 hours has seen an extensive amount of police work, which has seen multiple officers working to help get the answers Ibrahima’s family deserve.
“Now that we have secured three charges, a new level of proceedings is active, and we will continue to work on our investigation as this progresses. Ibrahima’s family remain at the forefront of our minds and we will be remaining in close contact with them throughout the process.”
Officers are continuing to appeal for witnesses and information, especially any doorbell or dashcam footage from the area around the time of the incident.
