Google's revealed what we searched for the most online this year
How to get Oasis tickets, where to watch the Euro's and Luke Littler were among the most-searched terms on Google this year.
While we navigated big moments like the UK General Election and US Presidential Race, we also took time to celebrate sporting glory, binge on true crime and indulge in nostalgia in 2024 according to Google.
This year was a bullseye year for sport with darts prodigy Luke Littler among the top searches after taking the sporting world by storm at just 16 years-old, with Google recognising him as 'Athlete of the Year'.
Among the other top ranking people we searched for this year, Kate Middleton, took the number one spot, with the likes of Donald Trump, Keir Starmer and King Charles all in the top 10.
Oasis were also a big feature this year with tickets for their tour the 9th most searched term in 2024, while the band were the most searched musician of the year.
TV shows were a big part of our year with hit shows like Baby Reindeer, Fool Me Once, Mr Bates vs. the Post Office and Rivals all making the top ten.
On the big screen, Beetlejuice Beetlejuice, was the most search film of 2024, followed by other box office hits including Dune: Part Two, Deadpool & Wolverine, and Gladiator 2.

Amazon have also revealed their top Alexa searches this year with the height of Taylor Swift coming out on top.
The value of Bitcoin and the net worth of various celebrities were also among our most asked questions this year.
The tech giant said US popstar Swift, whose record-breaking Eras Tour continued through the year, topped the list for celebrity-based questions around height and age.
She also had three albums in the top five of the most-played and was named the top played artist via Alexa and Amazon Music.
She was second to Elon Musk for questions on net worth, with MrBeast (real name James Donaldson) coming third.
According to the annual figures, which cover September 2023 to November 2024, general knowledge questions remained popular among Alexa users, with the value of Bitcoin and the population of Earth among the most-asked questions of the year.
Amazon’s data said asking Alexa for updates on the football was among the most popular uses for the AI-powered assistant.
“What time does the England match start?” was among the most popular sporting questions of the year – with the England men’s team reaching the final of Euro 2024 in the summer – and asking Alexa to give an update on the score in games involving Liverpool, Manchester United, Arsenal and Manchester City were also among the top questions.
Using Alexa as a kitchen assistant was another big trend of 2024, Amazon said, as recipes for pancakes, Yorkshire puddings and banana bread named as the most popular requests.
Recipes for cake pops, halloumi stuffed peppers and mango ice cream also made it into the top 10.
