The Friedkin Group have confirmed their takeover of Everton F.C., after buying out previous owner Farhad Moshiri.

A deal was first announced back in September, with the final pieces of paperwork confirmed over the last few days.

The move has been welcomed by fans, some of whom weren't happy with what they believed to be a tumultuous stint under Moshiri, which saw the club dragged into Premier League relegation battles.

In a letter to fans, Dan Friedkin said: "I take immense pride in welcoming one of England’s most historic football clubs to our global family, The Friedkin Group.

"Everton represents a proud legacy, and we are honoured to become custodians of this great institution.

"Whilst we are new to the Club, we fully understand the vital role Everton plays in local culture, history, and the lives of Evertonians here and around the world.

"We are deeply committed to honouring this legacy while contributing positively to the community, economy, and people of this remarkable city."

It is unknown what the deal will mean for current first team manager Sean Dyche, whose future has been the subject of recent speculation.

Everton are set to move into a new stadium, Bramley Moore Dock, from the start of the 2025-26 season.

The Toffees are currently three points clear of the relegation zone and have a game in hand following the postponement of the Merseyside derby.
