Ruthie Henshall leaves the I'm A Celeb! castle: 'It was a brutal joy!'
Ruthie was the second celeb to leave camp!
Ruthie Henshall left the I'm A Celeb! Castle last night (29th November) following Hollie Arnold's exit on Friday night. Ruthie didn't have it easy entering the show, having been thrown in at the deep end as a late arrival - even having to complete her first task before even meeting the other campmates!
Throughout this series we have seen Ruthie smash all of her tasks, including a secret task to win her fellow celebs their luxury items.
Ruthie spoke to hosts Ant and Dec about bonding with the other mums in camp, "As a mother, all you do is think about the things you've done wrong. You never think about the things you're doing right... I've had a really good chance to think and talk to the other mums in here and that has been incredible. It has been an absolute rollercoaster."
She knew it wouldn't be easy from the off as former campmate and close friend, John Barrowman warned her 'you will have a hard time' before entering this year's show.
Watching from home were daughters Dolly and Lily, who last week took to social media to share an emotional message of support to their mum. Ruthie showed us all that it's ok to not be ok as she admitted, "I pride myself on being such a tough cookie, but I'm really not".
Speaking to Lorraine on ITV this morning (30th November), Ruthie tells her that she has made friends for life in this year's series, "There was a bond… it will be there forever. I think these are the people that two years down the line, ten years down the line, you may not see them very often but you will pick up the phone every often and say, ‘Fancy a cup of tea?'".
Earlier in the series we saw Ruthie boosting the morale in camp by bringing a bit of Broadway glamour to the show, teaching the celebs some of her famous Chicago choreography.
"We all, in this sort of lockdown state, needed some joy and happiness. The people in there, I had so many laughs, I can’t tell you. It was a joy, it was a brutal joy!" Ruthie told Lorraine. We couldn't agree more! #TeamRuthie
