Be sure to tune in on Sunday 5th April
Last updated 1st Apr 2020
This weekend would've been the Olivier Awards but, in light of current circumstances, they've had to be delayed. However, there's still reason to celebrate the best of the best in the theatre world and Magic at the Musicals is on hand with a jam-packed weekend schedule to ring in some cheer.
The highlight of the weekend is a special broadcast hosted by Emma B. On the evening of Sunday 5th April, Magic at the Musicals is hosting a two hour special show celebrating the best Oliviers moments over the years. From 6-8pm, tune in to Magic's new musical station and reminisce over some of the finest moments in theatre.
Emma will be kicking off the show with the opening number from last year's awards starring Jason Manford, Janie D and our very own Ruthie Henshall.
We'll also be catching up with this year's nominee Jaq Yarrow who opens up about his role as Joseph and why he's different from the other famous faces who've previously played the character.
If you're a fan of Hamilton, Sunday's show is not to be missed as we also celebrate what was no doubt the 'Year of Hamilton' by taking a look back at 2018's winners.
As well as all that, there'll be exclusive interviews from some of the biggest names in musicals, performances that will stay in your heart for a lifetime and all the best bits from the Oliviers over the years.
So whether you're a fan of West Side Story, A Chorus Line, Cats, We Will Rock You or Six the musical, it's all here on Magic at the Musicals.
As well as the show on Sunday night, Magic at the Musicals is broadcasting an entire weekend dedicated to the awards with a whole host of radio shows from your favourite presenters including Ruthie Henshall, Jim Davis and Hannah Cox.
Something new for Magic at the Musicals; on both Saturday and Sunday from 12-1pm, your requests will be being played- get them in first by tweeting the Magic at the Musicals Twitter.
This weekend, why not put on your best red carpet attire, turn up the radio and make it feel exactly like you're there!
