Covid-19 has cost a Skegness seal sanctuary around £400,000 with it's future now in doubt.

Natureland has been running for 56 years, but the pandemic means they've struggled to make money, despite still saving animals in need.

Director Matthew Yeadon said they're limping along on reserves that are very quickly running out.

"We've got all the residents on site that still need their high quality of care that we make sure to give them.

"All their food, all their enrichment and veterinary fees.

"Each seal costs us about £2,000 to rehabilitate.

"Rescuing about 70 odd a year soon adds up the figures."
