Police in Lincolnshire find 'body' is actually a scarecrow
The discovery was made in a field between Grantham and Stamford
Police in Lincolnshire who were called out to reports of a possibly seriously ill or dead person in a field between Grantham and Stamford were relieved to find it was just Scarecrow.
They described it as 'asleep on the job'.
Several officers and a drone pilot from Boston searched for the 'person' in a field near Swayfield, after a high speed train passenger made the well meaning call to the force.
A real life farming Special Constable found the scarecrow.
It's now been put back upright to carry on with it's job.
