Police have confirmed the identity of a woman whose body was found in Skegness

A murder investigation was launched following the discovery near Gibraltar Point

Lincolnshire Police have confirmed the body of the woman found at Gibraltar Point near Skegness has been formally identified as Petra Ross.

The 23-year-old was reported as missing on Friday 19th January.

A murder investigation was launched by Police over the weekend after a body was discovered.

Since then Detectives have been asking anyone with information to come forward.

They want to hear from those who may have seen anyone walking around the Gibraltar Point Nature Reserve on Wednesday 17th January.

They also want to hear from anyone who saw a white vehicle in the area between 11.30pm last Wednesday and 8am the next day.

Petra's family are being supported by specially trained officers.

A 45-year-old man arrested in connection with the investigation has been released on police bail.
