Patient visiting at Boston's Pilgrim hospital will be suspended from Thursday for two weeks.

It comes after an increasing number of covid-19 cases among the community, staff and patients at the site.

There are a number of exceptions though:

  • The maternity department will allow one birthing partner.
  • Visitors will be allowed to see end of life patients.
  • Parents who don't show symptoms can visit their children.
