Nurses say conspiracy theories about Covid are 'heart-breaking'
Some have received 'nasty' and 'offensive' messages calling them 'liars'
Nurses on the front-line in Lincolnshire say 'nasty' and 'offensive' messages from Covid-19 conspiracy theorists are making them feel completely undervalued.
A union’s now calling on the people who send them to stop.
It says it’s a violation of the crisis that NHS staff are going through.
Mel Kerr from the Royal College of Nursing says it's heartbreaking.
"When it's done inappropriately is when I find that just so offensive," she said.
"It's just a violation of the crisis that staff are going through and it just feels like nobody is valuing what we are doing".
"I saw a screenshot of a particularly nasty message which I can't even repeat because of the obscenities that were put in this message".
"But there was some very foul language and just a very foul message from this individual basically saying that we're all liars and we need to shut up and deal with it".
"It's heart-breaking to read some of this stuff, they're so nasty".
"It still amazes me, it shouldn't do, but it still amazes me how nasty human beings can be when we're going through a pandemic that is affecting us all so drastically," she said.
