Newark is on the verge of going into Tier 3 of coronavirus restrictions but the town's MP says he doesn't think there's a need for a national lockdown.
Housing Secretary Robert Jenrick says if people are responsible the situation should improve by Christmas.
He says a second national lockdown isn't the solution.
It's estimated almost 100-thousand people are being infected with coronavirus every day and scientists want tougher action.
His constiuency goes into tier 3 of restrictions tomorrow.
It means pubs will shut if they don't serve food and you can only socialise indoors with people you live with, or are in a bubble with.
