A fresh attempt's been made to stop parrots at Lincolnshire Wildlife Park near Boston swearing.

A number of foul mouthed feathered friends at the Friskney facility have been turning the air blue.

Now the swearing parrots will be mixed with non swearing ones in the hope the more reserved birds will have a positive influence on the others.

We spoke to Chief Executive Steve Nichols who explains the plans.

"We said let's put them with the other birds in the new aviary and that gives 8 renowned swearing birds there."

When you laugh the parrot thinks that's a positive reaction so it swears more

"Let's just hope they dilute into the 92 that's already in there."

"But what we've got at the moment is when people turn up if they don't hear the parrots swearing then they'll swear at the parrots."

"What usually happens in a house situation is once you've taught your parrot to swear and the first time it swears you laugh - and when you laugh the parrot thinks that's a positive reaction so it swears more - so it keeps saying that particular word."

"We took three birds in which were Captain, Eric and Shelia which are three African greys."

"Everytime you went past Captain would say - watch out."

"You can't help it it's just one of those things that when they say it you actually answer."

"You say - sorry mate."
