A man has been charged with murder following the death of a man in Grantham.
Police were called out in the early hours of Saturday morning (14th October) just after 4.20am to reports a man had been found with serious injuries at a house in the town.
Officers found a man with what are believed to be knife wounds. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
It's been confirmed 38-year-old Tony McDermott was the man who died. Officers say his family are being supported by specially trained officers.
37-year-old Nicholas Ward of Eton Street in Grantham has been charged with murder and has been remanded in custody - He's due to appear at Lincoln Magistrates court on the 17th October.
Lincolnshire Police said Officers will remain in the area for the next few days while they continue with their enquiries.
