Dozens of flood warnings remain in place across Lincolnshire and Newark this morning.

It's after significant flooding in the region in the last 24 hours.

More than 50 properties were flooded as emergency services mobilised to provide help.

78 experienced flooding to gardens, sheds or outbuildings.

The county's fire service says they dealt with 140 call outs.

Many of those were in the south of the county in places like Sleaford and Bourne whilst Newark once again experienced problems close to the Trent where several flood warning are still in place.

Emergency services continue to monitor the situation

There are also flood warnings for the Short Ferry area, close to Skegness, the Witham near Grantham, Heighington, Billingborough, the Woodhall Spa area and the River Ancholme near Brigg.

Some roads are still closed due to flooding.

Emergency services say they continue to monitor water levels and areas potentially at risk, with particular attention being paid to Torksey Lock, Shuttleworth House Lincoln, and the South Forty Foot Drain.

"Currently, there are no areas classed as high risk and the situation has not been declared as an emergency."

It's thought the worst may be over - although some showers are possible today.
