Major cycling event comes to Lincoln
Big names in the sport will be competing
The National Road Cycling Championships start in Lincoln today.
This year’s event will see the time-trial, circuit and road race brought together into the same week for the very first time.
Riders taking part include Mark Cavendish, Chris Froome and Alice Barnes.
The whole proceedings will take place over the course of the next 4 days.

The event is well respected in the cycling community because Lincoln has some major challenges for riders as well as being an historic location.
Circuit races begin tomorrow and road races on Sunday.
It's hoped the event will provide a major tourism boost for Lincoln's economy after a difficult few months due to the pandemic.
Many cycling fans are expected to head for the city to cheer on the competitors as they go through their paces.
For drivers there maybe delays as the events take place.
