Lincolnshire's Federation of Small Businesses says the timing of Plan B measures "couldn't be worse"
many of their members now face major challenges
Lincolnshire's Federation of Small Businesses say the introduction of "Plan B" measures could drive some of their members "closer to the edge".
The hospitality industry is concerned about possible cancellations whilst the high street retail sector is worried footfall may suffer.
Katrina Pierce from the FSB's LIncolnshire branch says there's a lot of pessimism about:
" I think lots of businesses will be feeling very very low. We are now in the 21st nearly 22n'd month of this being something for them to manage, something for them to work with, something for them to worry about. And also many businesses they are nowhere near bounced back from the economic impact that they have taken"
"At the moment there is no further Government support coming through to help businesses that are going to be seeing lots of cancellations in hospitality, perhaps loss in trade and retail, people that turn to the big online sellers. So without Government support it could well prove very very difficult for some businesses to continue into the new year. We certainly hope this isn't the case, but morale wise its a bit of a kick for them"
Yesterday the Government announced that people will have to work from home wherever possible from Monday - and Covid passes will be needed to get into nightclubs and big events from Wednesday.
