As the packing up of the Lincolnshire Show begins, we're hearing how it's been hailed a success from the Lincolnshire Agricultural Society
The show is organised by the charity, which aims to educate people about food, farming and the countryside.
Andrew Buckley is the Chairman and tells us how this year's event has been:
"It's fantastic, I mean last year was really, really good, after covid and lots and lots of people came and supported us. But this year, we've had so many more stands, the old traditional stands are back and there's just been such a buzz around the whole area.
"Everybody I've spoken to from the agricultural lines, all the way through to the Blue Light area, the Countryside area and the Schools Challenge is heaving, and it's just such a lovely atmosphere."
With thousands of people walking through the gates of the Lincolnshire Showground over the last two days, it's expected that sales for traders will be high and that the boost to the economy will be felt in every sector.
Andrew continued to say, the show is important in teaching the next generation:
"It's so nice to see all the children - they're so enthusiastic - I love to see children here. There's so much they can actually learn here, and at the end of the day it's about teaching them about the rural community, where food comes from and overall, anything to do with agriculture."
With the site being packed up for another year, the Lincolnshire Agricultural Society is hoping that people will have walked away having been educated on food, farming and the countryside.
