Lincolnshire Show: Day 2
Around 600 trade stands and plenty of entertainment are on offer
As the second day on the Lincolnshire show commences it’s expected to be yet another busy day.
There are approximately 600 trade stands at the event and a total of 2,500 livestock and equine entries so there’s plenty to see.
Today a spitfire flypast is planned, more show jumping will take place, and the pig supreme inter-breed championships will take place, alongside so much more,
Farmers Richard and Natasha Mann are from Iken Hall Farms in Suffolk say they're pleased the show is back:
"Two years off with covid it's fantastic to be back out.
"Seeing everybody again it's just a lovely buzz - everybody's always helping each other out.
"It's a proper show - it's like the world championships for the Lincoln Reds. A lot of the other show's there's maybe 10 or 15 there's a proper shed full of them.
"We were exporting to the Caribbean to Hong Kong and to Jersey and everything stopped in February 2020.
"The showing stopped so the breeding sales tailed off - so to be back here now is fantastic".
This year celebrates 137 years of the show.
