Lincolnshire police says they hope to encourage and engage with people about sticking to the rules over Christmas.
They say they won't be knocking on people's doors and it isn't really about enforcement unless its absolutely necessary.
They say they'll only take action if it's really necessary such as a house party.
Chris Howard Chief constable says everyone needs to take responsibility.
