The pressures of life can be a lot for any of us to cope with.

For some they can become overwhelming.

Those feelings have only increased for many people since the start of the pandemic.

Now one man, who suffered his own problems, has put together a project aimed at those who feel they can no longer go on.

Thomas Dunning from Waddington came close to taking his own life several times.

Now he helps support others with mental health issues.

He's also known as the "mental health runner" and encourages people to take up exercise as a way of lifting mood.

Thomas is behind the new scheme.

He and friends have left a number of notes at prominent sites in the Lincoln area.

They take the form of a tag - see photo above.

One side has details of how to contact the Samaritans.

The other has an inspirational quote.

Thomas says "I had some support from my family but some people don't have that and I feel if I was in that position again just to see that note would make me realise there is someone out there that cares".
