Lincoln City cancel loan of Jack Diamond after CPS charge
The midfielder was on loan with the Imps since the start of the season.
Footballer Jack Diamond has had his loan at Lincoln City terminated with immediate effect- after charges have been brought against him by the CPS.
Northumbria police say the 23 year old, from Washington, has been charged with 2 sexual assault charges and is expected to appear in court later this year.
His parent club Sunderland have suspended him.
Sunderland released a statement saying:
"Sunderland has been notified that criminal charges have been brought against Jack Diamond by the Crown Prosecution Service."
"As this matter is subject to a legal process, the club will not be making any further statement at this time".
