Heavy rain has caused flooding across Lincolnshire with some people told to evacuate their homes.

Market Rasen was worst affected with a number of house flooded whilst some of the town's streets were waterlogged with people having to wade through it.

Emergency services worked throughout the night to pump water and recover vehicles, with levels reaching half way up cars.

Houses are flooded and local businesses are offering sandbags and support.

A few of the locals have spent the night at the White Swan pub where they've been offering support and warm drinks.

Kirsty Marie Sinclair lives in Market Rasen and said:

"That's was the scariest thing - not knowing whether the flood would reach my house."

"Luckily it never did."

"I just hope everyone in Market Rasen affected by this flood is OK and are staying safe."

Elsewhere the floods also affected Louth with water running down several streets.

This morning the clean up operation will continue with several people counting the cost of the damage.
