A convicted Grimsby sex offender's been sentenced to a year in jail after failing to tell police he'd traveled to London and stayed at a friend’s house where a child under the age of 16 was living.
58 year old Mark Howarth of Littlecoates Road was previously convicted for historical child sex offences.
He's now been found guilty of breaching the terms of his sexual offender notification requirements.
Investigation Officer James Carlisle said, "The Humberside Police Sex Offender Monitoring unit will bring to justice any sex offender who we believe are not complying with the terms of their orders".
“Any breaches are dealt with promptly and effectively in order to protect the community from harm," he said.
