Grantham woman charged with attempted murder

It follows reports a woman had ingested harmful levels of medication

A woman's been charged with attempted murder in Grantham, after reports a woman had ingested harmful levels of medication.

Police say they were called to reports a woman in her 80's and another in her 50's were in need of assistance at a house in Dudley Road around 8am on Tuesday (19th December).

Paramedics treated both at the scene and then they were taken to hospital.

Officers say the women were known to each other.

54-year-old Catriona Hawkins, of Dudley Road, Grantham has been charged with attempted murder.

She appeared at Lincoln Magistrates Court earlier today (22nd December) and has been remanded in custody - she'll appear at Lincoln Crown Court next month.
