Grantham foodbank says donations simply aren't keeping up with demand
They're handing out more and more parcels
A Lincolnshire foodbank says demand for their services is going up, due to the cost of living but donations have dropped 30 percent.
Grantham foodbank has seen an increase of more than a fifth of people needing their services.
We spoke to Brian Hanbury who runs the foodbank.
He told us: "So you've seen an increase of 22.5 per cent going out but there's a decrease of food going out and we think we're going to hit a "hard point" in about 2 or 3 months time."
"We're just starting to see the fallout of the new people coming through the door because they've gone through their own resources or their family's resources and now they're having to come to this strange place and give their story over and over again."
"We are just seeing so many new faces coming through the doors."
"I say these foodbanks are like a "well of tears" it's a place where people come and they are broken."
"Almost like a perfect storm going on, food prices going up and people can't afford to support like they used to.
