Lincoln City have announced the signing of Danish international Lasse Sørensen from Championship side Stoke City.

The 21 year old, who's represented his country at the youth level, joins the Imps for an undisclosed fee ahead of the new League One season.

He's penned a long term deal at Lincoln.

Director of Football Jez George said:

“We are really pleased that we have been able to sign a player of Lasse’s quality. We identified him as a player some time ago that we wanted to bring to the club and our persistence has now been rewarded.

“Lasse is a type of signing that we can now say is typical of Lincoln City. He has real potential to develop but is also ready to contribute immediately and make a big impact in the team.

"His profile as a player is a perfect fit for our style of play and Michael is really looking forward to working with him.

"We are delighted that Lasse has signed a long-term contract as he has the potential to be a real asset for the club."

Sørensen started his career at Danish Superliga side Esbjerg fB before coming to the UK to play for Stoke in 2016.
