Site of a Grimsby chemical company is to be sold, with the loss of over 200 jobs

A deal's been done to sell the site of a major chemical company in Grimsby with the loss of more than 200 jobs.
Novartis announced it was looking to leave in 2018.
Now it's reached an agreement to hand over the site to a company which specialises in redeveloping closed manufacturing operations in 2023.
It will continue production until later this year. Talks will now take place with staff about redundancy.

“It is now our priority and commitment to support our staff, alongside the local community, throughout the upcoming consultation and transition process.”
Humber Industrials Limited is a new company that is purchasing the Novartis Grimsby site and is a part of the International Process Plants and Equipment corporation group (IPP), which specialises in redeveloping closed manufacturing sites.
IPP is a global company that has over 40 years of experience and technical knowledge to repurpose idled plants and equipment
Humber Industrials Limited will announce their plans for the site in due course.
