Within the space of just 6 days, Covid-19 completely ripped Lisa Harding's life apart.

Her parents, Fred and Sandy, both in their 70s, were due to receive the vaccine.

But just 2 days before their appointment, they started showing signs of Coronavirus.

They didn't recover.

Now their daughter, from Coningsby, says it's vital everyone takes the jab when offered it.

She said "It's like being hit by a truck.

"You can’t even say you’re coming to terms with losing one parent, that’s still completely raw from 5 days ago and now in the space of 6 days I've lost both.

"It makes no earthly sense to me what so ever and it just seems unfair.

"By days they’ve missed having their vaccine

"It's unfathomable."

Lisa is making a desperate plea.

"If you’re offered the jab, take it.

"It’s not just to protect you, it’s to protect your elderly parents, the vulnerable people around you.

"I would give anything to turn back the clock and try and get my Mum and Dad the jab to give them a chance.

"Because I feel like their chance came too late."

She says the fact people aged 70 or older can now book a jab online is bitter sweet.

"I’m so proud of the vaccination programme that we’ve done.

"It’s brilliant seeing all these people get their vaccinations, looking forward to a normal future, whatever that may be.

"But its tinged with sadness that it came too late for my Mum and Dad.

"If others can get the benefit of the vaccine and continue living their lives, it means all these other lives weren't in vain.

"Get your vaccine,

"Take it with both hands,

"When you do, you can hug your parents…

"I can never do that again"
