There are concerns pregnant women in Northern Lincolnshire aren't getting the mental health support they need.

It’s thought depression and anxiety could be on the rise post-pandemic for new mums who haven’t had the help they need through lockdown.

It's believed significant numbers have been experiencing the likes of depression and anxiety.

Leanne Ellis is a mental health specialist midwife for the trust that covers Scunthorpe and Grimsby hospitals.

She says there's definitely been a rise in the numbers experiencing issues over the last year.

There's also expected to be a real need for post natal support too.

Leanne says it's vital women affected or even their families come forward to get help.

She says there's no stigma attached to seeking support and they should do so as soon as possible.
