Campaigners say they're disappointed in the councils decision to join a working group to discuss plans for a nuclear waste dump near Mablethorpe.
Yesterday, the county council announced it's going to find out more about the proposals for Theddlethorpe.
A government company is considering turning a former gas terminal near the village into a 'Geological Disposal Facility' , which would store radioactive waste underground.
The proposals from Radioactive Waste Management (RWM) have prompted a big backlash from locals who fear the impact it could have on the environment and the local economy.
Ken Smith from the No Nuke Dump in Lincolnshire group said it's bad news, but something they all expected.
"There is this Sword of Damocles hanging over them that you might be the home of a nuclear dump.
"It's a fear for the future generation.
"I'm 73, I'm not going to be here by the time they've finished that dump, but that's not my worry, my worry is what's going to happen to all the poor souls that come after me."
