Blind people across Lincolnshire say they're not getting health information in the form they'd like
It's caused some to miss appointments
A charity is saying blind people across Lincolnshire are being put at risk because of "inaccessible" information about their health from the NHS.
The R-N-I-B says some have missed appointments due to receiving information not in their preferred format, like Braille.
We've spoken to Roger Fixter from Boston - who's a member of the South Lincolnshire Blind Society in Grantham,
He told us: " I don't want to really be totally dependent on someone else like my daughter or cleaner to virtually run my life for me."
If it was more affordable it would really help us
"It allows me to be independent if it was more affordable it would benefit a lot of people."
"You just have to accept the situation at the moment."
"There are organisations that will help to some extent but if it was more affordable it would really help us."
The NHS says it's committed to improving how communication needs are met.
