Highs winds and heavy rain creates issues across Lincolnshire and Newark
There were a number of problems yesterday and some continue today
Heavy rain and strong winds caused a number of issues throughout Lincolnshire and Newark yesterday.
Police reported a number of fallen trees in the region.
There were also several roads in that became flooded.
Some homes in the Boston and Spilsby areas suffered power outages.
Trains also experienced problems.
Yesterday a tree fell onto a railway line meaning the Skegness to Sleaford rail service wasn't running for a time.
And it was a similar story this morning on the Sleaford to Spalding line where again a tree caused issues.
There were issues with falling trees throughout the region including in Mablethorpe, Sleaford, Greatford and Gosberton and Spalding.
The bad weather also affected the Lincoln 10k race.
It still went ahead but runners faced wet weather and strong winds.
