A second large vaccination centre is coming to Lincolnshire

A Lincolnshire CCG spokesperson has confirmed plans for a second large vaccination centre in the county.
However, no date or location has been announced to the public yet.
It's thought it'll be opening in the next few weeks.
It means the county will have 13 local vaccination centres, 2 hospital hubs and 2 large vaccine centres.
The county's first large vaccination centre opened in Boston on Monday, where up to 1,500 people a day can be vaccinated.

Do I go for my vaccine appointment if the weather is bad?
Martin Fahy, the director of nursing at Lincolnshire CCG is encouraging people to still attend their vaccine appointments unless told otherwise:
"None of our current vaccination centres are going to be impacted by the most recent flood warnings. If we don't contact you to say it's closed or that we need to re-arrange, please assume it's open.
"All 13 sites are up and running every single day. If you've got your appointment, we will tell you if it needs to be cancelled or rescheduled, so please come along."
I haven't had a call for an appointment, should I call the GP's?
They're also reminding people that you should only come for a vaccine, if they have an appointment.
Martin Fahy said:
"Local vaccination centres are being run by local GP practices, so they have everybody's contact details, they know who's registered.
"They'll be texting, they'll be calling, they'll be emailing, they'll get in touch with you and will book the appointment with you.
"Please don't ring the GP's to ask when your appointment will be, they will ring you.
"We will call you, don't call us, that's the message."
