Manchester City have won the Champions League for the first time in their history, completing an historic treble.

The Blues have defeated three time winners Inter Milan 1-0 in the final at the Ataturk Olympic Stadium in Istanbul.

Rodri's goal in the second half secured what will go down as a memorable victory.

The win means they have become only the second English side to win The FA Cup, Premier League and Champions League in one season.

The achievement matches that done by Sir Alex Ferguson's 1998/99 Manchester United side.

The Champions League trophy had been illusive since the club first appeared in the tournament in 2011/12, having lost the only final they'd appeared in previously against Chelsea in 2021.

The win also means that City forward Julian Alvarez joins the elite list of players to win both the Champions League and World Cup in the same season.
